Cinder's Story

She was found outside, most likely abandoned, after a kind woman had been feeding her and doing everything she could to help keep her safe. She set out a warm box with blankets, food, and water for Cinder — but this scared little girl would retreat to a drain pipe instead.

When Cinder first arrived in foster care, she spent her days hiding under the bathroom sink. With patience and lots of love, she slowly learned that people could be trusted. Now? This sweet girl has ventured out of her room and will even make a few laps around the house to stretch her legs, which helps with her bad hip. She’s still a work in progress, but every little step is a BIG deal for Cinder.

Once she’s comfortable with you, Cinder is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She LOVES sitting with her human to watch TV or play video games, getting pets and those amazing upper-belly rubs, and simply being near her person. She’s very chill and perfectly happy to lounge around and keep you company. And she has a playful side, too! Every now and then she enjoys a little playtime, especially with her beloved catnip banana. She also loves sitting on the back of a chair and watching the world go by through the window. Cinder does hiss at the other cats and has never fully adapted to them in her foster home, so she needs to be the only pet in her furever home. She would do best in a quiet, low-activity home with someone who understands that earning her trust takes a little time. But once Cinder decides you're her person, you'll discover what her foster family already knows: she is such a very sweet girl. She’s had a rough go for bit but now she deserves the soft, peaceful chapter she’s been waiting for — a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and finally feel like she belongs. Cinder is looking for:
• A quiet, low-activity home
• To be the only pet
• A patient human willing to let her build trust at her own pace
• Regular vet care for her previous hip injury In return? You get a sweet, laid-back companion who wants nothing more than to sit beside you, watch TV, soak up some love, and enjoy the simple comforts of indoor life. Cinder has waited a long time for this. Maybe you’re the person she’s been waiting for.
