CiCi/Carrot's Story
Amber and CiCi (aka Broccoli and Carrot) are a bonded pair of 1-year-old female sisters looking for a calm, patient forever home. Amber is a lovably chonky orange tabby, while CiCi is a petite gray tabby with a gentle spirit. Both girls are very shy and slow to warm up to new people and environments, but once they trust you, they become affectionate companions who adore lap time and gentle pets.

If you've been away for a few hours, expect an enthusiastic reunion - especially from Amber, who will happily launch herself into your lap moments after you sit down. Their affection is deep and genuine, but they remain sensitive cats even after bonding. Sudden movements, loud noises, or too much activity can still send them scattering, so they need humans who understand and respect their cautious nature.

Amber and CiCi were returned to the rescue after living in a home with dogs that frightened them, so they absolutely need a dog-free home with adopters who can commit to not bringing dogs into the household in the future. They would also strongly prefer to be the only pets in the home. Introduction to other calm cats could be possible with time and care, but they would be happiest as the center of attention in a quiet household.

The sisters thrive in peaceful environments. An adults-only home would be ideal, though calm, older teens may be a possibility. Think patient empty nesters or other cat-savvy adopters who can give them the time and space they need to acclimate.

Because they shine best when they feel safe, interested adopters will meet Amber and CiCi in their foster family's home in Brunswick. These girls are not instant companions - they are the kind of cats who slowly choose you. But once they do, the bond is incredibly rewarding.
