Chyna's Story

COMING SOON.

This little lady should be ready for adoption around the first week of May. But she's ready to entertain potential suitors now.

Chyna is a miracle kitten with a story to tell. She was hit by a car and badly injured around the 1st of February and it is only through a series of lucky incidents that she is alive and well and thriving.

First, a good samaritan stopped when they saw her lying in the road. They thought she was dead and they wanted to move the body to the curb. And then he tail moved . . .

So they googled to find the closest vet and it was OUR vet, who is an amazing surgeon and takes emergencies on a walk-in basis.

And then, when it came time to figure out who would pay this cat's very high vey bill, one of our board members -- a sucker for little sealpoint girls -- just happened to be sitting there with a purse full of credit cards, and she raised her hand.

Chyna's leg was broken in five places, her hip was dislocated, and her jaw was broken in three places. She spent three days in intensive care and then was on cage rest in her foster home for three weeks, before reclaiming her freedom and getting to run around like the kitten that she is.

Chyna is very sweet, likes to kiss noses, and will also race through the house and attack your feet in the night. She's a kitten. (6 or 8 months now.) What do you expect? She also has a thing for water and tries to play in the sink. She's often mysteriously wet. Go figure.

If you are interested in meeting this treasure (seriously, the vet bill was enough to qualify as treasure), please email and tell us A LOT about why you're perfect for her. Assume that a friendly Siamese kitten will have many suitors and set yourself apart. Also, make sure you include your phone number.

Adoption fee is $150.
