Chrysanthemum

You probably know the chrysanthemum as a beautiful flower. In some cultures, it represents nobility or royalty. Mew! I’m a very sweet, cuddly kitten called Chrysanthemum. I’m a cuddly girl, but since I’m a kitten, my attention span is still short, so 10 minutes is pretty much my max right now. I was found in early January and was taken to a vet because I was dehydrated and sick. I received subcutaneous fluids and some medications, then went to a foster home. After several weeks of good food, medicine, and good care from my foster parents, I made a nice recovery, and now I am a healthy, active girl. I like playing with people, but I do just as well at finding ways to entertain myself. I especially love playing with wand toys and ribbons. My new favorite thing has been curling up under blankets and hiding out in the cozy cats’ cave in my foster home. I get cranky and hissy when I am tired and overwhelmed; my foster mom says I can be “naughty.” That’s when you know it’s time for me to curl up for a nap.
