Chopper's Story
Chopper is an almost-9-month-old miracle! (DOB: 4/28/25)

When she was just five weeks old, this brave little bean survived a serious lawn mower accident while hiding in tall grass. Thanks to fast action, Chopper pulled through. She did lose her right ear and her front leg, but don’t let that fool you. This girl is not fragile. She is MIGHTY!

Because she is missing both an ear and a front leg, Chopper has a little less balance than most tripod cats. This means one very important thing:

Chopper must never be pushed, nudged, or “plopped” off furniture, and she cannot be set down front-first the way you would a typical cat.
She needs to be gently placed down with care, every time, so she can stay safe and not land on her head.

Her care needs are otherwise simple, and her affection is HUGE. You will never doubt her happiness because her purr volume is always dialed up to a TEN!

Chopper is fostered with cats and dogs and does well with everyone. New cats earn a short “getting to know you” period, and then they’re right back to business as usual.

She has come so far and is now ready for a forever family who will love her for the resilient, affectionate, wonderfully imperfect little cat she is.

If you think you might be the safe place Chopper has been waiting for, fill out our quick and easy adoption application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SMO/Cat
