Chomp Chomp's Story

Chomp Chomp and Flufflet

These are littermates and bonded brothers.

~ Flufflet likes attention, especially in the evening when we're watching TV. If he wants petting, he'll put a paw on your arm to get attention. He's also loves treats and will eagerly go after them and is usually the first at the bowl at feeding time. When guests come to visit he's usually the first to make a curious approach.

~ Chomp Chomp is a bit more cautious and reserved. When guests come to visit he'll usually hide for a few minutes to assess the situation before making an appearance. He'll approach for attention, but only if it's on his own terms. In the evening he becomes a lap cat and will roll over for a belly rub. He's almost always second to the food bowl at feeding time.

~ Neither of the cats are very vocal, but Chomp Chomp will chirp at birds when watching them at the feeder. Both have always been indoor cats and show no tendency to dart for open doors to the outside. They like sunning near one another on the screen porch. They are also affectionate and greet us every morning and get most of our attention after dinner.

~ Their brotherly bonds are strong. They play together (usually chase and wrestle), eat together, groom each other, share the litter box, sleep next to each other (sometimes with “muffining”), share a carrier for trips to the vet, entertain one another throughout the day, and watch birds together. Their favored toys are springs and balls, although they have a couple of soft toys that they'll carry around the house. Neither of them exhibit “twining” behavior around one's ankles. They live pretty much stress-free in this household.

~ Feeding schedule: they usually get fresh water and a heaping half-cup of pellets about 5 p.m., with a spoonful of non-chicken soft food on the side. They get another spoonful of soft food in the morning. Typically they'll finish up the soft food and graze on the pellets – sometimes a few more in the morning might be needed. Treats are provided in the evening after dinner, about 7 p.m.

All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Please fill in our application via this link: http://www.felinematchmakers.org

We only adopt kittens and young cats out within a one hour radius of Wilmington, NC to those over 21 years old. Occasionally we make exceptions for adult cats, but we are not a transport company.

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE GUIDELINES, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.
