Cholla and Chicory's Story
Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Cholla and Chicory, an adorable, lookalike brother and sister brown tabby short-hair pair. They are around 6 months old.

Cholla, the boy, has become a total cuddlebug with an instant-on purr. He considers everyone he meets his new best friend. Well, best friend after his sister Chicory.

Chicory is a bit skittish but is steadily overcoming her tendency to be hand-shy. She has been happy to participate in her foster mom’s behavior modification program because it means treats, lots of treats. She isn’t fond of being picked up but will approach for pets and expresses her happiness with sweet little chirps. And she cuddles up right next to her foster mom for a nap.

Chicory will take more time than her brother to settle into a new home but the process of gaining her trust will be so very rewarding.

When not boisterously playing with each other, they enjoy resting together in the cat tree and watching birds and squirrels out the window or hanging out with their foster mom. Interactive wand toys, lickable treats, freeze-dried chicken treats and fishy flavored crunchy treats are the way to get them to come running at top speed.

They will need to start out in a small room with no hiding spots until they learn to trust and bond with their adopter. With patience and TLC, they will quickly adjust to their new home and person(s).

What Cholla and Chicory are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting.
- They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of
active play time.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have no known history with other cats.
- They have a positive history with dogs.
- They need an adult-only home.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in Cholla and Chicory! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered.
