Chloe Bear's Story

Hi, my name is Chloe Bear. My owner passed away in June, and her niece had been caring for me since. Unfortunately, I do not get along with other cats, so I came to the shelter 10/11/26 to start my journey to finding my perfect home. I am 11 years young. I am adventurous, brave, carefree, silly, and I love to be loved. I like to "growl" when I am getting loved on, I've been like this forever and it's just some quirky thing I do. I am pretty shy at first, but give me a toy and some patience, and you'll see my true personality in no time. I get nervous with fast movements, so going slow is a must. Because of that, (and the fact that I'm an old lady) I do not think I should be in a home with young children). I need a quiet home, who will dedicate their time and patience to me so I can live out the rest of my years in peace with people that I will learn to love. I am on a thyroid medication that is applied in my ear twice a day. It can be a little pricey monthly, and it turns out to be about $56 a month. I am such a sweet girl and I'm hoping someone can see through me and take me home so I can live out the rest of my years being loved unconditionally. If you don't have any furry friends at home already and are willing to open your home and your heart to share with me, please come meet me or fill out an application through the MCSPCA website.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
