Jix and Chloe are a pair of bonded 10 year old siblings whose world has been turned upside down. They were adopted at only a few weeks old by a lovely woman who bottle fed them, loved them, and gave them a loving home for their whole lives. Sadly, she unexpectedly passed away this year and a kind neighbor cared for them in their empty house until they came into foster care.<br/><br/>Jix is a very large and very affectionate male who loves little more than laying on a pillow. He loves to follow his foster mom around and rub up against her legs just so she knows he's there. He's been on a weight loss regimen and is making slow but steady progress. He likes to spend time under the bathroom sink and then emerges oh-so-silently when someone comes into the room so that he can say hello. He loves drinking water out of the humidifier and only meows silently, with a tiny grunt.<br/><br/>His sister, Chloe, is much more reserved and spends most of the day in a bed she made in a closet. She craves affection every evening, however, and as soon as there is a human she trusts available, she hops up on them and wants to be pet. She likes to bury her face in the crook of your arm but any noise still tends to startle her and she often darts away, only to promptly return once she deems it is "safe" to do so.<br/><br/>This front-declawed brother and sister have never been apart and since they have been through so much, we want to be sure they can be adopted together to a home without children where they can live out their days with the comfort of routine, soft pillows and someone to talk to them (they both seem to love conversation).<br/><br/>If you're interested in this cat or kitten, please fill out an application rather than send an inquiry. Applicants are processed first come first served and some kittens go fast. You are not obligated to adopt by submitting an application and due to volume, we are not always able to respond to inquiries in a timely manner.<br/><br/>All Diva Pets Rescue cats have been fostered in homes by our volunteers. Adoption fees are $125 for cats over 1 year old or $200 for 2 adults. Kittens under 1 year old are $150 or 2 kittens for $225. The fee for 1 adult and 1 kitten adopted together is $200.
