Chloe's Story

Cautious but full of charm! Meet Chloe, our shy little tortie treasure!

Chloe may take her time to come out of her shell, but behind those wide, watchful eyes is a truly sweet soul. With patience and kindness, this gentle girl is ready for a cozy place to call home.

ABOUT CHLOE
- In foster
- Chloe is a cautious and shy kitty who is particular about allowing audience participation. With patience and encouragement, she is opening up and showing her sweet nature.
- She is often perched on her cat tree where she can monitor your every move, or in her soft cubby for some peace and quiet.
- It's important that Chloe feels safe and is kept in the open to help with her socialization journey. She shouldn't have access to spaces beneath furniture or behind shelves as it may be difficult to lure her back out.
- Chloe is still getting used to affection and may be nervous. With slow movements and soft talking, she will welcome gentle scratches with the back-scratcher on her head, chin, and cheeks.
- While Chloe isn't very food motivated, she enjoys Greenies and Churu treats during positive interactions.
- Chloe is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
- Chloe is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.
- Chloe is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.

CHLOE’S IDEAL HOME
- Chloe needs patient and understanding adopters who let her set the pace as she adjusts.
- She would love to have access to cozy hideaways (like covered beds, cat trees, or quiet nooks) where she can retreat when she feels unsure.
- Chloe needs a low-stress space with humans who can read her body language and respect her boundaries.
- She may do well with another gentle cat to show her the ropes. However, her compatibility with dogs is unknown to us.
- A skittish cat like Chloe will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Chloe settle into her new environment.
