Chips and Kushion's Story
Chips and Kushion are a pair of bonded brothers who were given up after the people who meant the world to them got a puppy. Naturally, they were traumatized by this betrayal, but they are coming to learn that their foster mom is being nice to them and helping them on the road to emotional recovery. Chips is definitely a big boy, while his brother Kushion is more of an average-sized cat. Like most cats, they would be happiest in an interactive household where he won’t be left alone for long stretches. We have not observed them with kids or dogs, but we think they would probably do well with pretty much anyone who knows how to treat a cat respectfully. Because they are a bonded pair, we will not consider adopting them separately. Chips and Kushion strike a comfortable balance between independence and attachment. They are easy cat who would make a wonderful match for a first-time adopter.

They have been neutered, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Their adopter will receive their medical records. They're being fostered in Hyde Park. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In their case, the adoption fee has been reduced to $390, which reflects a discount to facilitate them getting adopted together-- a bargain for a pair of new best friends who will be devoted companions for life. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.
