Chippy's Story

Meet Chippy!
This sweet, silky-soft girl has certainly kept us on our toes-in the very best way. Chippy started out with some backend issues that required specialist care, and we originally thought surgery might be needed. Thankfully, with a simple daily supplement mixed into her evening wet food, she's now thriving and perfectly on track for a long, healthy, happy life.

Chippy is an absolute wheel-running superstar. She loves her exercise time and will even meow for you to come watch her performance and reward her with lots of pets. She uses the "One Fast Cat" wheel like a pro! (They're the perfect size-often you can find them on Marketplace on sale.)

Her coat is unbelievably soft-truly one of the softest cats you'll ever pet-and she adores snuggles, warm laps, and being close to her people. She's also incredibly smart and confident with cat doors, easily navigating the ones leading to the master bedroom and the new catio.

Chippy loves sitting in the fresh air, bird-watching, and enjoying the world around her. She does require wet food with a bit of Miralax each evening to keep her bowels moving comfortably, but she takes it without any trouble.

Even though Chippy was raised with her five siblings and has had more than 20 fosters come and go in her home, she still prefers her personal space with other cats and will give a gentle "back-off" hiss to set boundaries. Because of this, Chippy would be perfectly happy-and may even thrive-as a single cat in her new home.

Chippy is a gentle, affectionate companion who brings joy, personality, and sweetness into every room. She's ready for a family who will love her as much as she will love them.

Cattyshack, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
First and foremost, Cattyshack adoptions involve filling out a non-binding application. We really want to process every detail on the app and feel good that we are sending the kitty home with the best possible fit. We also don’t enjoy having a cat returned three days later because you’ve decided scooping a litter box isn’t your thing, or your SO broke up with you and doesn’t want the kitten you gave her as “a gift”. We will do a vet reference to make sure any current animals you own are up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered, so go ahead and get that done before you even bother with an application. We all want to feel like you are REALLY, TRULY, 100% ABSOLUTELY going to commit 15-20 years to this kitten, or 10+ years to the adult cat your are adopting. That’s a big deal. So thank you in advance for your patience with our adoption process.
