They are about a year old.<br/><br/>Chipmunk and Haze are a bonded brother-sister pair who perfectly complement each other. They were trapped at about 3 months old. Both started out fearful and under-socialized, but with time and care, they've blossomed into sweet, funny and endearing companions who are ready for a quiet, understanding home.<br/><br/>Chipmunk (handsome brown tabby) is a charming character who loves to be near you—often weaving between your ankles or proudly marching around with his favorite spring toy. Chipmunk makes wonderful air biscuits and head bumps. He can be shy, but his playful side shines through quickly. When he enters the playroom with his other three siblings, he is often the leader of the pack, running up and down the tall cat tree or jumping on his scratching post with vigor. Like his namesake, he will occasionally chew on things. His foster parent can give you tips for kittie proofing. On the topic of eating things, his best treats are churu and chicken filet. He tries hard to be a gentleman when everyone is receiving their yummies. He's a funny guy who helps his sister to not be so serious. <br/><br/>Haze (lovely gray and white) was the most timid of the 4 siblings, but she has made incredible progress. Now she seeks out affection and will snuggle up close. She's become a monumental head bumper. If you're lying down, she loves to cozy up under your right arm. She purrs so hard that sometimes she squeaks . Recently she's begun chirping. Haze still may startle and run when unsure, but she usually circles back. She likes to find special unlikely places to hide like under kitty stairs. Sometimes she's a mystery! While gentle patience is needed with Haze, her confidence will continue to grow, as will your bond with her. <br/><br/>Together, they love to scratch, romp on the cat tree, play with wand toys and varied balls, chase springs, and explore. Sometimes, they play hard like brothers and sisters do. They will do best in a calm home without dogs or young children, with adopters who understand that trust takes time—but is so worth it.<br/><br/>If you have a soft spot for these two and the heart to help them continue their journey, Chipmunk and Haze will reward you with humor, quiet companionship, sweet moments, and a bond that deepens over time.<br/><br/>What Chipmunk and Haze are looking for in a home:<br/><br/>- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.<br/>-Theyre new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous. <br/>- Theyll need extra time and TLC to build trust.<br/>- They have lots of young cat energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.<br/>- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.<br/>- They need to live indoors only.<br/>- They have a positive history with other cats.<br/>- They would prefer a house with no dogs <br/>- They need an adult-only home.<br/><br/><br/>All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:<br/><br/> - $200 per cat or kitten<br/> - $350 for pair of cats or kittens<br/> - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)<br/> - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in Chipmunk and Haze!
