Chip's Story

Chip — Your One and Only Chocolate Chip

Looking for a little sweetness in your life? Meet Chip — a mellow, handsome gentleman with a soft purr, a serious love for snacks, and a heart that’s ready for a second chance.

Chip was sadly left behind when his family moved away, and this former streetwise tom has traded alleyways for armchairs—and he’s not looking back. Now fully retired from the rough-and-tumble outdoor life, Chip is all about cozy naps, crunchy treats, and the occasional catnip bender with his beloved banana toy.

He has a calm, low-key presence and loves to quietly climb onto the bed to sit nearby and purr. He’s affectionate on his own terms—he’ll seek out pets when he wants love, but please respect that his tummy is strictly a no-pet zone (street smarts die hard).

Chip is also a bit of a food security advocate—if his dish is empty, you’ll definitely hear about it. Having gone hungry before, he just wants to make sure his meals keep coming on schedule. He’s at a healthy weight and does well on two meals a day.

When he’s not relaxing in a sunbeam or watching birds from the window, he enjoys quiet play sessions with kitty balls or a wand toy. He’s got excellent litter box manners and is just an all-around good guy who would make the perfect chill companion.

With slow introductions, Chip would be good in a home with other chill cats. He hasn’t been around dogs or kids, but a calm, cat-savvy home where he can relax and bond would be ideal.

If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing buddy with a sprinkle of spice and a heart full of second chances, Chip is the only “Chocolate Chip” you need.

Strictly indoors, strictly sweet, strictly yours.

*Please note that most of our kitties will only be adopted out in pairs or to a home with an existing cat or furry companion--dependent upon what is best for them.

If you are interested in adopting Chip, you can find our Adoption Application and more information about our adoption process at http://www.kittycrusaide.org/adopt.
