Chicken's Story
CHICKEN - DMH, female, spayed, black & white, DOB Aug 10/17

Chicken is a 9-year-old girl looking for a calm, loving home where she can truly relax and be herself. After losing the only home she’s ever known, she’s ready for a fresh start with someone who understands her independent nature.

She is a one-pet-only kind of cat and would do best in an adult home or one without young children. Chicken isn’t a lap cat, but she enjoys affection on her own terms and will let you know when she’s ready for attention.

Right now, Chicken is struggling in her enclosure and can’t wait to find a forever home as the only pet. We know the right person is out there for her, and we can’t wait to find her the home she deserves.

Chicken is currently on a weight loss journey and has transitioned beautifully onto a healthier diet. Because of her weight, she sometimes has trouble grooming herself, but she does allow her caregiver to gently help keep her clean when needed. Her future family will need to stay committed to helping her reach a healthier weight, which will reduce stress on her joints and improve her overall well-being.

She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines—ready to go home.

If you’re looking for a low-key companion who values her space but still has lots of love to give, Chicken might be your perfect match.
