CHET's Story
CHET-"loves a good head and chin rub and will rub against you for more love. He is very curious and loves to run a few good laps in his home. He is playful but is spooked by loud noises. He will play-endlessly with caps off water bottles. He is good with other cats. Not Dogs."

CHET was adopted as a kitten in July of 2021. He seemed to have a happy home, however, something changed, and he was no longer a "fit" in the home. Things change and sometimes the household dynamics change. If the owner doesn't have time to let things calm down and work out, it is better to remove the pet from a stressful situation.

CHET was quickly adopted a second time but was quickly returned. Unfortunately, the adopter worked 12 hours on, 12 hours off and CHET was so happy to have someone home, he didn't understand that the new person needed to sleep! They thought he was a great cat, but just too busy plus the older cat did not appreciate his enthusiasm either!

CHET is like Tigger (Winnie the Pooh's friend) bouncing around with energy; however, CHET is a handsome, sleek panther, not a tiger. He seems to be good with the children who come in, but he is a busy guy! He gets along with the younger cats, but he is way too much for the older cats who just want to lay in the sun. CHET is a sweet, friendly boy who will eventually slow down as he ages, but not just yet! He is easily over-stimulated, so may be too much for young kids, or older folks to handle. He needs someone who would enjoy playing and giving him plenty of toys and activities to help him burn off the excess. This gorgeous panther is just looking for someone to play with and occasionally snuggle. We are determined to find him a perfect fit!

Perhaps you are the perfect Forever Fit that CHET is looking for.

DOB-03/2021 Reentered shelter: 01/2025

If you are interested in adopting CHET, please visit the Shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm, or call 231-773-3030 to make an appointment.
