Chestnut Street Sunshine's Story
Chestnut Street Sunshine is a pretty dilute tortoiseshell cat. She is not a cuddly girl (though is starting to get better). However, she LOVES her foster family's large dog and is very good with other cats and would make a great companion for a lonely kitty or a kitty who just wants a buddy. She came to us on 3-29-24 from a red-tagged rental house on Chestnut Street in Lansing. The tenant had to move from the house because it was deemed unsafe to live in. Unfortunately, she had accumulated a large number of cats who had to move, too, but mostly didn't have anywhere to go. Her intentions in getting them were good, but she kept getting more and more, but never had any medical done on them because she "couldn't afford to." Therefore, when we were notified, there were 3 litters of kittens, plus many other cats. We ended up with moms Sunshine and Speckles, who were nursing their 8 kittens together (Spunky, Squint, Squirt, Soot, and Storm--plus 3 others who sadly passed away because they all had a rough start in life). Onyx and Little Frenchie also came to us on 3-28-24, then Bones the next day. The kittens' approximate birthdate is 5-24-24. Speckles and Sunshine are cousins. They get along great with other kitties and with their foster family's large dog. Sunshine's approximate birthdate is 10-4-22.

Sunshine's adoption fee is $150, which includes spaying (10-4-24--CAHS), distemper combo (FVRCP) shots (6-20-24, 10-4-24--CAHS), a 1-year rabies shot (10-4-24--CAHS), flea treatment (Revolt 10-4-24 CAHS), worm treatment (Droncit--10-4-24--CAHS), and microchipping through 24Petwatch (6-20-24--CAHS). The 2 moms tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV (6-20-24--CAHS).

For more information on this pretty cat, please contact Jann at 517-410-0074 or at Jannlifsey@peoplepc.com.
