He's a gentle, shy sweetheart who just needs a little time to trust - but once he does, he reveals his soft, loving, absolutely precious personality. He enjoys being held, loves gentle affection and is always ready for playtime.<br/><br/>Chestnut is naturally shy at first, but once he learned to trust his foster mom, his loving, tender heart shined through. He absolutely lights up when he’s with other cats. He adores his foster mom’s adult male cat and fits right in with a friendly kitten family (Noel, Gingersnap, Nicholas, and Rudy) that treats him as one of their own. Because he bonds so strongly with other kitties, Chestnut must join a home that already has a cat looking for a friend—he would be very lonely as an only kitty.<br/><br/>He does wonderfully with a calm, cat-friendly dog and would do best in a quieter home with cat-savvy older children who understand that he doesn’t like being chased. In the right environment, he’s a playful, super loving, and fiercely loyal companion who will reward his future family with endless purrs and sweetness.<br/>Come meet this handsome little ginger boy who is as sweet as his name!<br/><br/>Chestnut was born approximately September 4, 2025, and his adoption fee is $160, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweet boy at our adoption center this weekend!<br/><br/>You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend.
