Cheeto's Story
Cheeto’s life purpose is simple and nonnegotiable: the purr-suit of maximum fun. Cuddle time? He’ll get your attention with the sweetest meow and then remind you with a gentle head butt that two-handed pets are preferred. Playtime? He’ll chase toy mice across slippery floors, bat, swipe and hunt string toys, and adores catnip and catnip-filled toys! People time? He greets newcomers, loves to lie on a lap and get chin scritches, and wouldn’t dream of sleeping anywhere other than next to his human at night. Litter-box time? One of his most impressive talents is his dedication to burying his business—he will enthusiastically use every available ounce of litter to cover up.
And in between times? You might find Cheeto gazing thoughtfully out of a window, working out at his scratching post or just hopefully hanging out near his human. (If you’re busy, he’ll scamper off and wait for a better moment.)
Outgoing and curious, easy-going, affectionate and playful, Cheeto would do well in a social household as long as he has a calm cat-cave to retreat to for recharging his batteries. Cheeto was born in 2023.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Cheeto, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com.
