Meet Cheddah - A Quiet Soul Ready to Bloom<br/>Cheddah is a shy, gentle boy with a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. While he may<br/>initially appear nervous, that look is just a bit of a facade beneath it is a kitty who enjoys being<br/>pet and will purr and show you his tummy in appreciation.<br/>Cheddah enjoys the presence of other cats and gains confidence from being around a friend. When he came to live at Kitty Corner, he got along just fine with everyone, but over time formed a very tight friendship with another young kitty named Zeek. Zeek and Chedduh can often be found snuggled up in a cubby together, enjoying each other's company. This quiet and gentle pair make a great team and would love to continue their story together in their new home.

Contra Costa Humane Society's Adoption Policy

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep. If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted! Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens).
