CHATTY's Story

Summer is here! Warmer weather is here and so are lots of kittens and older cats that need homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Maybe even two kittens or cats? Remember every cat you adopt actually saves TWO cats lives and help countless more cats & kittens! When you adopt one cat, it makes room to save another! Win! Win! The kitties thank you too!

This is Chatty!
Chatty is a domestic short haired brown & white tabby spayed female, up to date on her shots, around three years old and available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/ Treasured Friends Rescue in NWI.

Would you have some extra room for me?
I'm hoping you might because I'm not used to being in a shelter. I had a home but one day my person had to move and couldn't take me with. *Sigh*
I was devastated, I loved my person so much but I understand. At least I was taken to the shelter to find a new home instead of just being thrown out to fend for myself, like some kitties at the shelter.
So here I am, I'm not a kitten, just a little older and having to look for a new home. I'm still a little sad because I lost my home but I'm ready for a new one now!
I'm a very sweet girl! And even though I'm not a kitten, I still love to play! I might be little shy at first, but once you pet me, I LOVE it..it makes me sooo happy and purrrrrry! I'm really soft and I love to cuddle up in my soft bed! I love to be brushed too! I can't wait to get another chance! I would love to give all my love to someone who loves me too!

Would you have some time to meet me? You could make an appointment to meet me at the shelter! I have my own "room" there and we can visit!
I am very sweet and I do like other kitties (that are nice!) so if you have another kitty already we should be able to get along with the proper introduction period. Older kids would probably be okay, but NO dogs.
If you're looking for a sweet, soft and adorable little kitty, I'm looking for a home! Come see me!

Please call 219-922-1766 and leave a message to meet Chatty! Also, please fill out an adoption application that can be found online at TreasuredFriendsRescue.org or follow the link from our profile at Petfinder ( scroll down to the bottom of the page for the link) Thank you!
*****************************************
Griffith Animal Control, in partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue believes in giving kitties that others wouldn't normally get a chance at getting a forever home, a chance! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months. Please, only apply if you are an experienced cat owner and have patience. Thank you!
