But if you will take the time and sit in his room minding your own business, out he comes. And when you reach out, he loves being gently petted, and if you scoop him up, he is sweet and friendly. He's in a free roaming room and is friends with 2 from another litter (Cello and Carillon). All his siblings were adopted (Chessie, Casey, and Lionel), but Chattanooga was too shy and didn't find a home. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have a quiet and calm home and would love to be a safe and trusting place for Chattanooga, please send in your application. C.A.R.A (Citizens for Animal Rescue and Adoption)'s Adoption Policy

Please email citizensanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application or use our online link. Once an application is approved you will be contacted to set up an appointment to visit the animals. If you let us know what you have in mind (age, gender, personality), we'll have several ready to meet. We are open to the public Monday-Saturday 1-4PM and other times by appointment. Please call 217-655-4353 or 217-799-8858 with any questions. After you've met and decided on the pet for you, you will fill out the final paperwork and you will be able to take your pet home. All adopters must be able to meet and pick up their pet as we do not offer transportation, or handle all the details for a transport and be able to pay over the phone. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

C.A.R.A. is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit, No Kill animal shelter and rescue for homeless, injured/neglected or surrendered animals. Through community donations we are able to provide high quality care and rehabilitation for animals in our care.
