Charon's Story

Charon and Hydra, both born June 3, 2024, made their grand entrance right in our bottlefeeders’ garage—talk about a VIP arrival! Say hello to Charon: This handsome black-and-white boy is cool, calm, and collected—the perfect chill companion. Charon loves string toys, gentle play, and soft rubs on his head and back (butt scratches are a no-go for our distinguished gentleman!). He’s not the biggest fan of being held, but don’t worry—he’ll show his love with quiet loyalty and sweet quirks. His signature move? Splish-splashing in any water he finds! If you catch him pawing around in a bowl or sink, just know he’s living his best aquatic life. Charon and Hydra are two peas in a furry pod—they’re the ultimate best friends and really love being together. While we’d love for Charon and Hydra to be adopted together, we’d consider letting them go to separate homes, as long as there’s always someone around to give them plenty of attention. If you’re in Nassau, Queens, or Suffolk County and your heart is ready for a bucket of cuteness and unconditional love, just complete HUG’s online application at http://humaneurbangroup.org/adoption-application and one of our friendly humans will zip back to you quicker than a kitty chasing a laser dot!
