Charm's Story

This charming little girl was rescued off the streets of New Orleans when we received a call about a cat with an injured foot and tail living in an overcrowded cat colony.

We were finally able to trap her and get her to a vet. We thought she might lose her leg, but turns out nothing was broken except for one of her toes! The toe was crushed though, so the vet removed it. Once healed, she started using the foot again and only walks with a slight limp. She also had to have half of her tail removed due to an injury there.

While at the vet recovering, we were told she was feral and would have to be released back to the colony. But once we got her into foster where she got some one on one TLC, her true personality started to shine.

While she is still a little shy, she is easily swayed with treats or toys. She loves chasing balls and any toys on a string. She isn't fond of being picked up, but does like to lay right next to you for hours! And she enjoys being petted and will purr to show you her appreciation! She loves to be covered up to stay warm, and will snuggle right in under the covers with you.

She has been around other cats and would do well in a house with other friendly felines. She would also do well as a solo cat. However, she will not do well with dogs or kids.

She is spayed, triple tested negative, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas.
