Charlie's Story
Hello everyone, I am Charlie, a six-month-old playful tripod Tuxedo cat. It is thought that I was struck by a vehicle, although I do not remember the incident, which resulted in an irreparable injury to my rear right leg in early December 2025. Approximately 2.5 months post-surgery, I am pleased to report that my recovery progressed enough to let me transition into the Glenmont Petsmart adoption center.

During my foster care, which included a household with other felines, I exhibited some insecurity and assertiveness to other felines, likely due to my recent surgery and disability. However, in my current environment with volunteers in Glenmont, my affectionate and playful nature has shown through! A volunteer recently commented that I was delightful to be around and would be an ideal adoption candidate if she didn't already have three cats at home.

She also reported my funny, mischievous and playful side while attempting to enter a closed secure door in a neighboring female cat's kennel. Well, I am a kitten after all!! I enjoy playing, particularly with my favorite ball toy, eating (I am definitely food motivated) and Churos squeeze up treats! As a high-energy kitten, I am still learning my physical limitations, such as avoiding jumps from high places and difficulty navigating stairs. Although descending stairs seems manageable.

Given my current adjustment period, I would thrive best in a cat-free home where I will continue to adapt to my disability while forming a bond with my new family and feeling secure in my new home.

One other kitten issue the foster said to know about me included my active kitten playtimes, where I may play too hard and get overstimulated and nervous. Then I may bite, so just letting you all know. I didn't mean it, and it wasn’t serious. A stern verbal no may help me overtime to learn I shouldn’t do that.

I am a confident young boy and with good routine, lots of attention, love, good food, playtime, etc., all would help me learn how to be my best, and grow to love, understand and feel secure with my new family. Come meet me at Glenmont Petsmart today!

If you are interested in this beauty or any of our other angels, you can complete an adoption application online at:

https://www.kittenangels.org/adopt

Please indicate on the adoption application that you are interested in Charlie fostered by Glenmont.

Please note, fosters do get final approval for any adoption as they are most familiar with the personalities of their foster kittens and cats.

Kitten Angels is a non profit, volunteer organization. We rely solely on fostering, volunteers, donations, and adoption fees. An adoption fee of $175.00 must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
