Charlie's Story
I’m a handsome and dignified guy named Charlie. I’m very quiet and pretty much keep to myself. In fact, it’s only recently that I let the FOHA volunteers and staff approach me and pet me. You see, I was brought to FOHA as a feral – I would hiss at the people to tell them “stay away from me!” I hadn’t had much positive interaction with people out on the streets, and I didn’t wasn’t used to being treated well by people. But here at FOHA, not only do they provide you all the food you could eat, fresh water, comfy accommodations, and all the catnip you’d like, they also provide lots of love – even if you’re a guy like me who, at first, doesn’t know how to appreciate it. Now, though, I’ve learned to really enjoy pets. I’m even getting to like being brushed. Mostly I like to sit in a cat condo, on a windowsill, or even on a comfy couch and relax the day away. I’m not particularly demonstrative in my affection, but knowing that I used to hiss and run
away – hey, I’m working on it! Got to give a guy props for trying to change his way. A leopard might not be able to change his spots, but this tabby cat has certainly changed his stripes!

I can only be adopted to a home in the DC Metro area.
