Charlie's Story

CHARLIE is approx. 1 year old and a very handsome brown and gold tabby with beautiful pale golden eyes. He is personable and sociable and warms up to people almost immediately. Charlie’s favorite thing in the world is PLAY with enthusiasm! His favorite toy is his “Da Rat” wand toy, but he will play with almost anything he can stalk and pounce on. He also enjoys small toys he can bat around and chase across the floor, as well as his kicker toys.

Charlie loves sitting on his kitty tower or windowsill watching the birds, squirrels, and other wildlife outside. He cannot be left unattended if a door or window are open or he will try to get out a screen to try to catch whatever is moving outside. He is very affectionate and freely gives head bumps, hugs, and kisses. He likes lying on the bed and will happily settle on your chest, purring away while enjoying some affection. Charlie is very vocal and will meow and “mrrr” at you, as well as chatter at the wildlife outside the window. He is curious about whatever his people are doing and will often try to “help” or sit nearby and watch. At night, he likes to stay close by, and you may wake up to find him curled up next to your shoulder or head. Charlie loves his treats and happily accepts them, and he uses his carpeted scratching post. He would love a home (rather than apartment) so he can run and get his energy out, and one where he isn’t alone long hours as his loves being with people and wants a best friend.

He needs to be an only cat because he is too assertive with the cats in his foster home. Young children are not a good fit for this boy as he could slip out a door, and he gets over stimulated if played with too much - kids have a hard time knowing when he has had enough.

Charlie is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about handsome, playful Charlie.
