Charlie's Story

Status: Available or foster-to-adopt. Vetting complete.

Gender: male, neutered
Approximate age: 10-11 years old

Likes: rubbing up against your legs, being pet, cuddling on your lap, cat nip.

Dislikes: being pet incorrectly, other cats, dogs and kids

Personality: Shy with new people. May even hiss out of fear but warms up quickly. He is the sweetest and it only takes him a minute or two to relax and accept petting. He will rub up against you and then flop on his side. He accepts belly rubs! He hates other cats and because he is FIV+, he will spread the virus if he bites another cat. Therefore, he needs a cat-free home.

Background: former feral converted into a house cat. Truly not feral anymore. Has been living at our holding space for years but is now fully vetted and ready for his forever home.

Vetting done: neutered, rabies vaccine, full FVRCP series, combo test (neg for FeLV but pos for FIV), microchip, and Rev+ and had a full dental in December, 2024.

Concerns:
Medical: has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). The only FIV+ complication he has had was bad teeth, but he had a full dental with multiple extractions in December 2024. Bloodwork looked great so there are no other concerns as far as his FIV status. FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives.

Behavioral: none

Location: Holding space

Fee waived!

Adopt:
https://form.jotform.com/rightmeowrescue/adoption-application
