Charles's Story
Submit your application here: www.passportanimalrescue.org/app

Charles is a diabetic kitty in remission (so he does not need insulin any longer!), so he will need a low-carb canned food diet only. He's a former street cat who knows his name and listens to his foster mom similar to how a dog listens. He tends to grab with his feet but a strong "no nails" will do the trick. Slow and steady will be how he best adapts to a new home. He's ok with the other cats he comes in contact with and would live peacefully with another cat who doesn't care much about him.

Charles is positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Fortunately, cats with FIV can live a long life like any other cat. Regular vet care is important. FIV is not contagious to people or dogs and it is ok for FIV positive and negative kitties to live together, following proper introductions. No routine medication or other specialized treatment is needed.

All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip.

We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.
