Charcoal (BONDED PAIR)'s Story
Looking for a gentle, soulful duo to add warmth and quiet beauty to your home? Meet Charcoal and Silver — a bonded sister pair whose journey from shy to shining is already well underway.Though they look nothing alike, Charcoal and Silver are two sides of the same sweet coin. Charcoal is a sleek, shadowy beauty with watchful eyes and a quiet spirit. Her sister, Silver, is a striking white-and-gray tabby mix whose soft fur and even softer purrs are quickly becoming a regular part of the household soundtrack.

Silver is blooming more every day. While she started out reserved, she's now discovering how much she enjoys human affection — often seeking out attention with little meows and gentle rubs against your legs. She's learning to love long strokes down her back and has started to purr the moment you make eye contact. Her growing confidence is not only heartwarming — it's also inspiring Charcoal to take more brave steps of her own. Charcoal, while still more cautious, watches Silver closely and takes comfort in her sister's increasing trust in people. She's the kind of kitten who will thrive in a calm, predictable home where she can explore at her own pace. Both girls adore other cats and gentle dogs and would do best in a quieter environment without too much hustle and bustle. Together, Charcoal and Silver are discovering that the world isn't so scary — especially when they have each other. They sleep curled up side by side, follow one another from room to room, and are slowly beginning to include their humans in their safe little world.

These sisters must be adopted as a pair — their bond is deep, and they rely on each other for comfort and confidence. If you're a patient, loving person who believes in the magic of earning a shy cat's trust, Charcoal and Silver are ready to reward you with quiet affection, soft purrs, and the kind of companionship that grows deeper with time.

We received a grant from PetFinder Foundation to help find their forever home! Their adoption fee has been reduced by $200 (adoption fee for the pair is $400).

Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption).

All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion.

Location: Glastonbury, CT
Adoption Fee: $600 for the pair
