Charcoal 's Story
Charcoal may be only two years old, but he has already proven himself to be a little warrior. He was rehomed through Facebook to his new family, who had him for just two days, when they dropped him off at an emergency vet in critical condition, unable to afford his medical care. Charcoal has received the care he needed for his urinary issue and is now healthy and living life to its fullest in his wonderful foster home! To help prevent future urinary problems, Charcoal will need to remain on a veterinarian grade urinary diet for life. He is especially fond of fish-based foods and is not a fan of chicken.

Charcoal is a friendly, lovable goofball who quickly stole the hearts of everyone at the vet clinic. Many staff members commented on how lucky his future family will be to have such a sweet and charming companion. While Charcoal loves people, he prefers to be the only cat and will do best in a quiet, adult-only home with no other felines. Because stress can play a big role in urinary tract issues in cats, he will need a calm, low-stress environment to stay happy and healthy. Charcoal is a pro at using his litter box.

Charcoal is a brave boy who has already faced so much change and upheaval in his short life. He is ready to find a furrever home filled with security, love, and all the second chances he has fought so hard for. Charcoal is currently in foster care, not at the shelter. Interested adopters can contact gina@katiesplace to arrange a visit to meet him.
