Challah's Story

I am currently available for adoption at the Irvine Petco. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an application on our website www.carmaoc.org
Meet Challah (nicknamed Daffodil, for the irony).Don’t be fooled by the delicate flower name; this little black panther is a full-on huntress. If you’re the type of person who likes to tuck your toes safely under the covers at night... don’t. She will find them. She will attack. But don’t worry, it’s not personal. She just hasn’t figured out yet that your feet are attached to, well... you.
Houseflies? Gone. Rogue moths? History. Invisible specks of dust floating in the sunlight? Consider them annihilated. She takes her patrols seriously, and honestly? She’s better than pest control. One of her best tricks is being held up to all those hard-to-reach places: shelves, corners, ceiling spots, and still managing to go full kung-fu on any intruder that dares cross her path.
But don’t let the huntress persona fool you. At night, she transforms into your personal luxury accessory. Ever find your ears getting cold while you sleep? Problem solved Challa becomes the tiniest, softest pair of earmuffs, complete with purrs that sound like the world’s coziest white noise machine.
She also enjoys games that make zero sense but bring maximum joy. For example: being picked up like a telephone. The only question is... are you prepared to answer the call? Because this little kitty’s ringtone is endless purring and a whole lot of static.
Challah is a balance of fierce hunter and heart-melting snuggle buddy. She’s sleek, silly, affectionate, and a little unhinged - but in the best way.
If you’ve been looking for a cat that doubles as both a nighttime guardian and a wearable heated accessory, then the call is coming from inside the house.
Foster Reviews: â ̃...â ̃...â ̃...â ̃...â ̃... “No bugs. No cold ears. No regrets.” â ̃...â ̃...â ̃...â ̃...â ̃† “The midnight toe attacks are real, but so is the love.” â ̃...â ̃...â ̃...â ̃...â ̃... “Best phone call I’ve ever answered.”
My adoption fee is $175. That includes spay/neuter, microchip, FIV/FeLV combo test, current vaccines and health check.
