Cha Cha's Story

Meet Cha Cha: Tiny, Shy, and Full of Secret Sass

Cha Cha, aka Charlie, Bean, and Little One, may be small, but don’t let her size fool you, this little lady was raised with brothers, and she learned to hold her own! Her and her siblings were rescued from Plantagenet, where too many sweet cats are left to fend for themselves. Now that she's in foster care, she’s safe, loved, and ready to find a forever home that understands her gentle heart.

Cha Cha is a shy kitty who believes in slow friendships. Fast movements and loud noises? Not her vibe. Calm voices, soft energy, and a patient hand held out for her to sniff? Now we’re talking. Earn her trust, and you’ll be rewarded with her signature move: the Charlie Headbutt, a very official seal of approval.

Favorite hobbies include:
1. Chasing the red dot like it’s her full-time job;
2. Olympic-level feather wand acrobatics (seriously, the speed!); and
3. Professional nighttime snuggling with her foster brother, Teddy.
4. Chasing or running from her foster brothers.

Cha Cha is still building her confidence with being picked up, but if you speak softly and give gentle head rubs, she’s trying her best to be brave. Also, you can tell she wants to sit beside her people, she’s just working up the courage. Watching her come out of her shell is one of the sweetest journeys you’ll ever witness.

Her dream home: Cha Cha would love a home with another friendly cat (or two!) to play with and learn from. She’d be especially happy to be adopted with her foster brother, Teddy, or one of her siblings, Tango or Salsa. Having a feline friend helps her feel safe and brings out her playful side. Because she’s only lived with adult humans and other cats, we’re not sure how she’d feel about dogs, children, or other animals. If you have a calm home, a gentle voice, and room in your heart for a shy little girl who will love you in her own quiet, beautiful way, Cha Cha/Charlie might just be your perfect match. 💕

We think Cha Cha was born in the spring of 2024.

NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee.

NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home.

NOTE 3: Cat Rescue Network only adopts their cats to homes in the National Capital region of Canada.
