Laurel Cats's Adoption Policy

Since Laurel Cats is primarily a spay and neuter group rather than a rescue with a shelter, the cats that we have for adoption are living at the homes of our volunteers. Please contact us and we will gladly put you in touch with the volunteers caring for these cats. Finding volunteer foster space is challenging, and once a cat or kitten is ready for adoption we are naturally keen to free up the space in order to help more cats and kittens in need. We therefore ask that you only apply to adopt one of our cats or kittens if you are in a position to take them immediately, subject to a home check.

Laurel Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to humanely reducing the cat population in Laurel Maryland through spaying and neutering. While the bulk of our work is focused on trap-neuter-return, we frequently encounter friendly cats and kittens that have been abandoned on our streets. We are eager to unite these ...
