Meet CeCe<br/>FIV+ | DOB: May 13, 2023, Intake: November 13, 2025<br/>CeCe came into our care thanks to the kindness of Kevin D., a northeast Grand Rapids resident and adopter who—along with a neighbor—had been watching out for her for about a month, providing outdoor shelter and regular meals. Although CeCe had been seen in the area for 3–4 months, she had been consistently present and relying on their care during that final stretch. From the start, she showed herself to be a very sweet girl.<br/>When CeCe was brought to me, I scanned her and discovered that she is a spayed female with a microchip implanted by Kent County Animal Shelter. The chip was registered to someone living very close to where she was found. No lost pet notices had been posted locally or on social media, so PetLink initiated contact but failed, so CeCe officially became part of Crash’s Landing after 72 hours of hanging out with me at FWC!<br/>Medically, CeCe has been treated for infectious internal parasites, including toxoplasmosis and coccidia, and she has tested FIV-positive. Because of her FIV status and her personal boundaries with other cats, CeCe would do best either as an only cat or with a very mellow, respectful feline companion who won’t get in her business or make her feel threatened.<br/>One-on-one—especially during her visits to Feline Wellness Center—Cece is THE sweetest. She’s a roly-poly, belly-rub connoisseur who can’t get enough pets, praise, and affection. The name I gave her suits her perfectly: she’s a slightly Cross-Eyed Cute-E, and it only adds to her charm.<br/>CeCe is particular about who she allows into her inner circle. If another cat rubs her the wrong way, she’ll voice her displeasure with a yowl and the occasional warning slap. She’s not especially fond of being picked up yet, though we’re gently working on that. To be fair, she’s been on medications since intake, which hasn’t exactly helped her mood. With time, consistency, and fewer roommates, she is likely to continue to blossom.<br/>She absolutely loves playing in tunnels and would do great with older kids who can help keep her entertained and respect her boundaries. CeCe is a good girl—she simply prefers quality over quantity when it comes to companions.<br/>If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate kitty who thrives on one-on-one attention and has a whole lot of love (and belly rubs) to give, CeCe may be your perfect match.
