Catfish's Story

Catfish is a gentle, soft-hearted girl who blossoms with patience, consistency, and a calm environment. She takes her time getting comfortable, but once trust is built, her affectionate and playful personality comes through in the most endearing ways.

Catfish loves playtime, especially toys on a string. She’ll happily jump, pounce, and bat at anything with a bell, and she also enjoys rolling around with toys left on the floor. After dinner, she’s known to have adorable zoomies before settling in for a good night’s sleep. When it’s time to rest, Catfish prefers cozy, secure spots like cat beds (where she always makes biscuits first!) and will sometimes curl up on the human bed once she feels safe.

She thrives on routine and appreciates having multiple “safe spaces” where she can observe the world and retreat if she feels unsure. Catfish is never defensive, she doesn’t bite or scratch, and communicates clearly when she needs space. When she’s ready for affection, she’ll let you know by chirping from one of her safe spots, flopping onto her back, or gently head-butting your legs. Head and neck pets are her absolute favorite, and when she’s comfortable, she rewards them with purrs and air biscuits.

Catfish would do best in a quiet home with an adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her set the pace. She continues to make wonderful progress every day—seeking pets more often, exploring more confidently, and choosing to be closer to her person. With patience and gentle care, Catfish will become a deeply loving and loyal companion.

Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped.

This cat is in a foster home. CAT MEDICAL HISTORY AND HEALTH All of our rescued cats have an initial health check when they are at the shelter. Our goal is to understand the health of each of our cats and provide that information to any potential adopter. However, we cannot guarantee the health of the cat. Therefore we recommend that you take your newly adopted cat to a licensed veterinarian as soon as possible after your adoption. Any known health issues will be disclosed at the time you meet the cat.
