Meet Cassiopeia<br/>This elegant and resilient young beauty has already endured more than most in her short life. Cassiopeia, affectionately known as Cassie, was likely rescued from the streets as a baby by an elderly woman who had more cats than she could care for. When two of the woman's calico mothers couldn't produce enough milk for their litters, a call for help went out.<br/>Cassie, just 7 months old at the time-barely more than a kitten herself-was one of those calico moms. Emaciated and weak, she still managed to nurse her three tiny babies-Astro, Cosmo, and Pluto-long enough for a rescue to step in and give the young family a second chance.<br/>The home Cassie came from wasn't safe or nurturing, and understandably, she was very frightened and wary of humans. But slowly, in her foster home, she began to learn what kindness felt like. Bit by bit, Cassie started to trust again.<br/>Cassie is a gentle soul with a playful spirit and a sharp mind. While she's still shy around new people, once she bonds with you, she's incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves being petted, cuddling close, and giving love to the special human she chooses as her own.<br/>Cassiopeia is searching for her forever home-a quiet, patient place where she can co to bloom.
