Cassie's Story

Cassie is a beautiful young cat who had a rough start to life. She wasn't even two years old and already the little gray cat-barely a kitten herself -- was a mother for the second time. No real home, or anyone taking care of her. Cassie was passed from one person to the next when finally someone put up a notice on social media to get rid of her. Not her kittens of course- they were cute and being given to friends and neighbors. They just wanted to get rid of the mother before she went and got pregnant again. For little gray Cassie it was a life of chaos and a life without love. Until her lucky day when someone who cared enough brought her to the SPCA. There, she received food and health care, a safe place to sleep, a desperately-needed spaying, and finally the love and attention from staff and volunteers. It was a dream come true, but that was all three years ago - three years! Cassie now needs another lucky day when someone will notice her, appreciate her for who she is and give her a second chance in a new home.

Cassie is a lovely kitty. She's a dusty gray color that is called "dilute torti." And she has a cute pink beauty mark above her nose. She is between four and five years old now, a medium sized cat but full grown. She is still full of energy and loves to play and explore. A ping pong ball she can chase across the floor is her favorite toy. Cassie is not a big fan of other felines and would prefer to be your one and only cat at home. She loves a little chin scratch or a gentle pat, but she Is still cautious and not a lap cat - not yet. For the right person though, someone who is patient and kind, and she will be an excellent companion!
