Casper's Story

Can you name a cuter cat than Casper? We sure can’t!

Cutie-pie Casper is more than ready to break out of the shelter. This affectionate, friendly, silly boy is beloved by all. Casper is quick to greet new friends and is very chatty, often chirping and squeaking at us. He likes to play, but he likes attention way more. He is often purring, kneading, and begging to be held or pet. He truly loves people and will make an amazing companion.

Casper does have one kind of wonky eye. When he saw the eye doctor, they determined that he has feline viral rhinotracheitis, also known as feline herpesvirus. It does not require any medication, but should be monitored. Because FVR can be contagious during flare-ups, Casper may be best as the only cat or with another FVR kitty. Staff are happy to chat with potential adopters in more detail and suggest consulting with your vet.

Casper is about 2 years old, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines.

Please contact staff at (401) 294-2754 or email animalshelter@exeterri.gov for more information on our adoption process. Please do NOT apply through Petfinder.

Thank you Ava for the photos!
