He was adopted as a kitten, then heartbreakingly found dumped in a mall parking lot and returned to us almost feral. Over time, with patience and care, Cashew has made huge progress — and now he’s ready to find a home that truly understands him.<br/><br/>Cashew is extremely intelligent and loves a challenge. He flies through treat puzzles and has even graduated to advanced dog puzzles for fun! He’s playful, curious, and enjoys interactive games — he just prefers affection on his terms.<br/><br/>Cashew has a few important boundaries:<br/><br/>He does not like having his feet touched<br/><br/>He can become overwhelmed with too much handling and may lash out if overstimulated<br/><br/>He is not suited for a home with children or dogs<br/><br/>He is very selective with other cats and would do best as an only pet<br/><br/><br/>On the flip side, Cashew has a noticeably soft spot for men and becomes especially chatty and sweet with them. With the right person, he forms strong bonds and shows his affectionate side in quiet, meaningful ways.<br/><br/>Cashew would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with someone experienced with cats or willing to learn feline body language and give him the space he needs to feel safe.
