Cashe- IN FOSTER's Story
Cashe is an 8-year-old sweetheart who has been patiently waiting for her second chance. She first arrived at the shelter over the summer and has spent the past several months working through a number of medical concerns while everyone made sure she received the care she needed. Through it all, Cashe has remained a gentle, loving girl who just wants a cozy place to call home.

Cashe was recently diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that she now takes two medications for. She has also been treated for a chronic ear infection, had dental work completed, and previously saw an ophthalmologist for a squinty eye caused by a flare-up of feline herpes brought on by the stress of shelter life. While that may sound like a lot, Cashe has been doing wonderfully in her foster home over the past few months and is feeling much more like herself.

In foster care, Cashe has truly blossomed. She’s a fantastic bedtime companion who happily sleeps alongside her person. She enjoys the simple, cozy things in life—wand toys, neck scratches, and cuddles, as well as lounging in soft, dimly lit spaces. She has some very charming habits too: Cashe loves to drink from human glasses filled all the way to the top, and she enjoys relaxing with a pillowcase filled with catnip and silvervine nearby. Her foster family even set up a little carpeted step perch next to the bed so she can easily climb up to her favorite sleeping spot.

Cashe is also a pro when it comes to taking her medication. Her pills are given in a small clump of wet food offered on fingertips, and by the third or fourth try she confidently swallows them on her own like the smart girl she is.

For her forever home, Cashe is looking for a calm environment where she can be the only pet. She will need regular veterinary care, including echocardiograms to monitor her heart condition and routine visits to help manage her chronic ear infections. Most importantly, she’s hoping to find someone who will spoil her, love her, and cherish her in her golden years.

Despite everything she has been through, Cashe remains a wonderful companion—gentle, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow to share quiet evenings, cozy nights, and lots of love, Cashe may be the perfect match for you.
