An adoption co ordinator will be in touch.<br/>June 20th, 2025 - Carrot, Spinach(adopted) , Olive and Tomato(adopted) were rescued from an overcrowded hoarding situation back mid May <br/>They were full of fleas and had some fur loss. Just to be sure they were tested for Ringworm through a PCR test and kept in quarantine at the vet for 5 days til we heard it was all clear. He has had 2 flea treatment, deworming x 3 , received his both sets of FVCRP vaccines plus his rabies, neutered and microchipped. All he needs his new home with Olive. His adoption fee is $350 . Carrot has thrived in his foster home, he loves playing with the foster mom's other cats and of course Olive. They are always together so MUST be adopted together. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. Little kittens are not appropriate for children under the age of 6. He is in a foster home in Hamilton

Action Volunteers for Animals - Hamilton's Adoption Policy
All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens. AVA does not adopt out of province or out of country. Adopters should live within a one-hour radius of our locations in the Greater Toronto Horseshoe Area (GTHA). Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we are receiving, a response to short-listed applicants may be delayed. While we endeavour to contact short-listed applicants within 48 hours, a response may take up to a week. Adoption Fees: Standard adoption fees for cats and kittens include vetting, spay/neuter (at AVA's vets) , deworming, microchip, and initial vaccine at the time of adoption (FVRCP and rabies if age-appropriate). Additional fees may apply for cats who have had or are due for vaccine boosters prior to adoption. Testing for FIV/FeLeuk is not included unless specifically indicated, as testing is not standard practice.   As of April 1st, 2024 AVA’s adoption fee schedule will be as follows: Adult over 1 year: $250 (with initial vaccine) Adult over 1 year: $325 (with second/booster vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $275 (with initial vaccine) Kitten or juvenile under 1 year: $350 (with booster vaccine) Seniors ( 10+years) & special needs $200 Special breeds starting at $250 - a $75 additional fee may be applied for special breed who have had a booster administered prior to adoption Total fees will be confirmed by the AVA adoption coordinator Think you found your new best friend?
