Carmello's Story

Carmello is a sweet little girl who is very shy at first and will need time and patience to adjust to a new environment. Over time, she has become bolder and lets people come closer to her and eventually touch her. It's been a joy to see her progress as she's come out of her shell. Carmello enjoys being petted and especially likes head scritches. However, she dislikes any attempts at being held or picked up and will run away if you try. She has a quiet purr and has a charming, chirping meow. She's happiest when sleeping in a comfy spot or looking out the window at the world. She likes playing with toys and playing chase with my other cat. I believe she'd fit in fine with other cats, though I'm unsure how she is around dogs. A quieter household with either older children who would respect her space, or no children would be the best fit for her. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle cat in your life, Carmello would be an excellent fit! Carmello is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

The first step in adopting from 9 Lives Rescue is to get pre-approved by filling out our adoption application! You can find it here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NLWI/Cat Your application approval means that you are approved to adopt from us, not for one specific kitty. When you find the kitty that is right for you and them, you can take them home! In the application, you can let us know who you want to meet. We cannot guarantee that by the time your application is approved that a particular kitty will be available. However, there are always new kitties coming available to adopt and we'll do what we can to find you the perfect match! We also have barn cats for mouse patrol.
