Carmel's Story

Carmel is a 5-year-old girl who is just as sweet as they come. She is a little on the chunky side and, as you can probably guess, she is a BIG fan of food. But really, who are we to judge? That just means there’s more Carmel to love!

And if you’re a fan of orange cats, Carmel is extra special because she’s a female orange cat! We all know orange cats have a reputation for being a little bit quirky, and Carmel is perfectly happy to represent the orange girl club.

She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines, and now she’s hoping her next chapter includes a comfy home, plenty of love, and maybe a few snacks along the way.
If interested in adopting, please click the link below to fill out an application:
https://www.bellwetherharbor.org/adoptions/application-for-adoption/

Bellwether Harbor's Adoption Policy
Bellwether Harbor does not do same day adoptions. Please keep in mind multiple visits to the shelter may be required. This number is determined various factors including the potential adopter’s experience and the training level/potential behavior issues of the animal. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please fill out an application on the shelter website. After the application has been received, the Adoption Coordinator will conduct a landlord check and vet check (where applicable). If approved, applicants are contacted for a phone interview, after which an appointment may be set up to meet the animal. Please note: Applying for an animal does not guarantee adoption of said animal. Adoptions are approved based on a variety of factors. We do our best to match animals with the best homes, not the first homes. It is possible that adoption of a specific animal will be denied even if the application is approved. For more information on the adoption process, please visit http://www.bellwetherharbor.org/adoptions/the-process/
