Carly's Story

Green-eyed Carly and Mel are a beloved bonded pair of totally indoor cats who unexpectedly need a new home through no fault of their own. Their senior guardians are no longer able to care for them—one has passed away, and the other is transitioning to nursing care. These two have known the security of a loving home and now need someone special to give them that same love and stability for the rest of their lives.

Carly is a 10-year-old brown, medium-haired tabby—a tiny, sweet and loving girl with plenty to say! She loves being petted and especially enjoys having her beautiful coat brushed every day. Her purr comes easily when she’s happy and comfortable.

Carly also has a wonderfully playful side. She entertains herself by tossing her toys into the air and then running after them. At bedtime, forget the cat bed—Carly prefers sleeping in the human bed.

Carly is a sensitive, shy girl who startles easily at loud noises. When unfamiliar people visit, she may hide until she decides everything is safe and then come out on her own terms. A patient, peaceful home where she is allowed time to feel secure would suit her beautifully.

Carly and Mel have spent most of their lives in a quiet home with their guardian. They have had only limited exposure to dogs, unfamiliar cats, and children, so we don’t want to make promises about how they would respond in those situations.

Carly and Mel can be met by potential adopters in Alamogordo, NM, and must be adopted together.

Because we want their next home to be their forever home, veterinary references demonstrating a history of responsible, loving care for previous pets are required.

***For more information or to arrange a meeting with Carly and Mel in Alamogordo, please call Stacey at 719-510-3375.***
