Carly's Story
Carly is a spayed female gray cat, born in December 2024. She was rescued from a large colony of cats that had been abandoned. Carly does have a cloudy left eye which the vet examined and determined she has a very small tear in her third eyelid in the left eye. The cornea is mildly inflamed but appears intact and is not ulcerated. Other than some watery discharge from time to time, the eye does not cause her pain or limit her play time or interaction with foster siblings. She adores being held and petted. Playtime consists of wand toys and crinkle balls. And fresh catnip is her favorite thing to roll around in. She gets along with other cats but may need extra acclimation time to feel 100% safe in a new home. She has been through a lot in the past year but has a lot of love to give! Inside only cat! Indoor cat only! The adoption fee is $25. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to:
https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/
We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly. After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.
