<p>Carlotta was named after the singer from Phantom of the Opera, because she sure loves to make noise! &nbsp;Carlotta came into the rescue with her sister Georgiana, three other kittens and an adult cat. &nbsp;Carlotta is getting along nicely, and has a loud purr to go along with her loud voice. &nbsp;She loves playing with the other cats in the house, and loves to snuggle with her foster mom. &nbsp;Before being adopted, Carlotta will be spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Therefore, anyone who adopts a cat or kitten from us will be asked to sign a contract stating that the cat will remain indoors for the duration of its life. We also believe that declawing a cat is a serious surgery that carries with it the possibility of many complications*. Therefore any adopter will also be required to sign a contract to never declaw their cat. *To remove the claw, the last bone of your the cat's claw has to be removed. It is a painful surgery, with a painful recovery period. In fact, declawing is illegal or considered extremely inhumane (and only performed under extreme circumstances) in over 20 countries, including England, Germany, Spain, and France. The cat is also deprived of its primary means of defense, leaving it prey to predators if it ever escapes to the outdoors.
