Carlo

Meet Carlo!

Carlo is an intelligent, inquisitive, playful, and wonderfully sweet kitten with a serious talent for snuggling. Born in early May 2026 on the streets of Salinas, Carlo was captured by animal control and mistakenly labeled as "feral" before an artist couple stepped in to rescue him. It didn't take long to discover the truth: Carlo is definitely not feral, and his big, happy purrs are proof!

When Carlo isn't busy playing, he loves curling up on laps, riding around on shoulders, and rubbing noses with his favorite humans. He's also a hilarious little character who has discovered that wrestling with shoes is even more fun when someone is still wearing them!

Carlo is talkative without being overly chatty, unless food is involved! He is highly food motivated, which should make him especially receptive to training. His curiosity and intelligence mean he's always investigating new hiding spots, turning ordinary household objects into toys, and insisting that every closed door must surely be hiding something interesting. He loves his sister, Keira, and they share an energetic, acrobatic play style filled with ninja-like leaps and flips. While they are not required to be adopted together, they would do wonderfully as a pair.

Because they are still new to home life, Carlo and Keira may be nervous around small children or loud teenagers. Their experience with dogs is unknown, and Carlo would do best with another cat who is tolerant and playful if he is not adopted with Keira.

Interested in Carlo? Public visiting hours are held Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

To schedule a one-on-one meet and greet with them, please submit an online adoption application.
