Carla (aka Karl)'s Story

FAILED OVER AND OVER AGAIN BY HER HUMANS.... Her age (8 years old) and FIV positive status will make it almost impossible for her to find a home. We are asking for a miracle maker.
Karl (now Carla) was found as a friendly stray in a neighborhood off Bobby Jones. The family who decided to take over her care, kept her as an outside cat. As time passed the couple eventually got divorced and the wife moved away with the children. Less than a year later, the husband moved away as well. Both adults left the cat behind without a thought for what would become of her. The husband told the neighbor he would let them know when he was moving but he just disappeared one day and never came back... leaving the cat with no food source and without her family. The neighbor saw her just waiting on the front door steps every day for her family to return to feed and love her.
She's terrified of other cats, but she's been in foster for 2 weeks with extremely friendly cats and she's starting to get over her fear in baby steps. She's finally coming out to see me when I come into the room, even if the other cats are around. She does not attack them. She just growls and might do a swat in the air if they get too close.
FIV cats, like Carla, do not need to be in single cat households if they are not cat aggressive. What she has is not contagious through litter boxes, water bowls, grooming or shared food dishes. Please DM me if interested in adopting. She is Up To Date on her vetting. She's spayed and microchipped.
