Caribou's Story
Meet Caribou! She is a special needs girl who has been with us since she was just 6 weeks old. She has something called Megaesophagus, which is an enlargement of the esophagus that affects the ability to swallow food. Despite having this condition, it doesn't slow her down at all or stop her from being a regular kitty! She is absolutely the sweetest and happiest girl around. She loves her kitty friends and playing with her toys, and she is such a cuddlebug. Because of her condition she has a very distinctive purr that sounds a lot like a tree frog! Kittens with this condition often have stunted growth, so you'll find Caribou to be very small compared to her other fellow felines, but she just hit her 1 year old mark recently so she will remain petite into her adulthood! She is on a prescription medication twice a day, but this is easily administered by putting it in her breakfast and dinner every day. Caribou is currently in foster, so a meet n' greet will need be scheduled ahead of time. Apply online or here at the shelter to meet Caribou!Interested in adopting?
